Shenandoah Yurt^® is a luxury mountainside retreat at over 2,500 feet elevation with a private hot tub, wood-burning stove, fire pit, and archery. Only 2 hours from Washington DC and 1 mile from Shenandoah National Park (as the crow flies), our unique cabin-like yurt combines the adventure of outdoor living with upscale comforts you'd expect from a boutique hotel.

Inside you will enjoy hotel-like bedrooms with USB ports and adjustable pillows, 1.5 bathrooms with rainfall shower, private loft with pool table, gourmet kitchen stocked with fresh farm eggs, 75" HDTV with streaming services, PlayStation 5 with 4 controllers, and a cozy wood-burning stove that creates the perfect ambiance. Outside, your private 7-person year-round hot tub awaits on the elevated deck, surrounded by forest views and mountain tranquility. Check-in is at 4pm and checkout is at 11am. For flexibility, we offer early check-in at 2pm or late checkout at 1pm for $50 each when our cleaning crew can accommodate. You'll receive your door code via email and text 24 hours before arrival for self check-in.

Pets are welcome with $50 fee per stay. Checking the pet checkbox at booking acknowledges your pet is well-behaved. Dogs, cats, birds, ducks, and other well-behaved pets are welcome when the pet fee is paid. Our pet-friendly Virginia cabin includes bear-proof garbage bins, easy access to pet-friendly trails at Shenandoah National Park and Shenandoah River State Park, and a deck with railings on three sides. The entry/parking side is open because the deck is built to grade, so please supervise pets accordingly.

Full refund for any reason if canceled or rescheduled at least 5 full days (120 hours) before your listed check-in time, minus the 2.9% credit card fee. Inside 120 hours, we are unable to offer refunds, including for weather-related cancellations. Yes, the hot tub is completely private, exclusive to your group, and available year-round at this luxury Virginia yurt.

The 7-person hot tub is heated to 102°F year round on the spacious deck with mountain views. Please shower first, no oils or glass allowed, and keep cover on when not in use. Children under 12 are not permitted, and minors 12 and older may use the hot tub only with direct adult supervision. Our hot tub is professionally maintained with water testing smart meter monitoring. If water was changed or refilled, it may take a few hours to heat. Please see all posted rules before using.

Best for 4 guests in 2 queen bedrooms with USB-C charging and adjustable pillows. Sleeps up to 8 with king sleeper sofa in loft (with privacy screen) and convertible living room couch. All linens, towels, and sleeping masks provided.

Yes! Starlink high-speed internet with a dedicated workspace, including a desk and ergonomic chair, perfect for remote work. However, cell coverage is spotty.

This luxury cabin is just 1 mile from Shenandoah National Park (as the crow flies) and 30 minutes drive to Thornton Gap Entrance Station. We're also 15 minutes e-bike ride to the park via Tanners Ridge Fire Road, 20 minutes to Luray Caverns, 34 minutes to Shenandoah River Outfitters for tubing/rafting/kayaking, and 41 minutes to Massanutten Ski Resort. Raptor Hill Falconry is about 21 minutes away, and Appalachian Adventures is about 23 minutes away for guided outdoor activities.

The $500 damage deposit is a pre-authorization (hold), not an actual charge. It may be placed before check-in, or immediately for same-day and next-day bookings, and released after checkout if there is no damage. Pre-authorization means the funds are temporarily held by your payment provider but never leave your account unless we need to collect. Deductions may occur for: property damage, excessive cleaning beyond normal use, smoking, vaping, hookahs, cannabis, or tobacco anywhere on the property, unpaid pet fees or pet-related damage, missing or broken items, unreturned activity equipment, or violations of house rules.

Stripe shows the available payment methods at checkout, which may include major credit and debit cards, Link, buy-now-pay-later options, Cash App Pay, and wallet payments depending on eligibility. For alternative payment methods like Zelle, Venmo, ACH bank transfer, or Bitcoin, contact us directly. The full reservation amount is charged at booking, though we're happy to work with guests who want to split payments with friends or arrange something unique.

Nightly rates vary by season and demand, with higher rates during peak periods like holidays and ski season. No cleaning fees or booking fees, ever. State and local lodging taxes are calculated at checkout. Optional add-ons (early check-in, late checkout, pets) are shown before you book with pricing. Purchase a gift card online from $50 to $10,000, redeemable at any of our yurt locations. Gift cards are delivered via email, either instantly or scheduled for a specific date (9am ET). They're valid for 1 year from purchase. To redeem, enter your GIFT-XXXX code in the coupon field at checkout. If email delivery fails or you need the code resent, contact us with your order confirmation and we'll resend or issue a new code.

Exterior security cameras cover the driveway entry and parking only. Living and spa areas are completely private with no cameras inside, on decks, or viewing the hot tub area. Safety equipment includes fire extinguishers, CO/smoke detectors, and first aid kit. Wildlife protocol: use the bear-proof bins provided for all trash and food scraps. Emergency contacts are provided in your welcome message.

We build deck-to-grade, so practically everything on the main floor is accessible without stairs, including bedroom(s), bathroom(s), kitchen, dining table, living area, wood stove, and deck access to the hot tub and fire pit. We have proper door widths per code. There is a shower curb in the bathroom. Lofts and any lower-level spaces require stairs.

Yes! Our Level 2 J1772 charger adds approximately 37 miles of range per hour, perfect for overnight charging. Works with all J1772-compatible EVs including Chevy Bolt, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Rivian, and others. Tesla owners need a J1772-to-Tesla adapter (Mobile Connector or third-party adapter not included). One vehicle at a time, free to use during your stay.

Yes, we strongly recommend 4WD with chains during active snowfall. The paved road turns to gravel at our driveway. The standard policy still applies in bad weather: cancel at least 5 full days (120 hours) before your listed check-in time for a refund for any reason, minus the 2.9% card fee. Inside 120 hours, we cannot offer weather-related refunds. We plow within 24 hours post-storm over 2in. Towing costs can exceed $400. Don't worry though, this Shenandoah Valley cabin features a wood-burning stove and central heating to warm up from the snow.

Yes! We are child-friendly (not child-proof). We have the following items stocked in the yurt for our littlest guests: baby crib, high chair, changing table, and silicone bibs. ❤️

Yes! Ample firewood and fire starters are supplied for both the wood-burning stove and outdoor fire pit, so you can enjoy the crackling fire right away. The stove is rated for twice the yurt's square footage, ensuring quick, efficient heating.

Nearby options split into two types: Tanners Ridge Road access is about 5 minutes by car, with a 42-minute one-way hike to the Shenandoah National Park boundary and about a 15-minute e-bike ride to the park boundary. For established Skyline Drive trailheads by car, Mary's Rock is about 36 minutes, Stony Man is about 50 minutes, Old Rag is about 57 minutes, Dark Hollow Falls Trailhead is about 62 minutes, and Lewis Falls Trailhead is about 64 minutes via Thornton Gap. The property itself offers archery with traditional recurve bow (40lb), cornhole, fire pit, and hammock.

Yes. Guests may use archery equipment after completing the required waiver and following posted range rules. Do not share archery PINs or lock codes with anyone who has not signed. When finished, return the bow, arrows, target, and accessories to the posted storage area, re-lock everything, and report damaged or missing equipment.

Max people at the property at any time can never exceed 25 people for deck structural safety. If you'll have more than 15 total (overnight guests + daytime visitors), message us to get approval to reach the 25-person max. Overnight capacity remains 8 guests.

The spacious deck, cathedral skylight, and mountain backdrop create stunning settings for micro-weddings or reunions. Full kitchen with dishwasher, outdoor grill, string lights, 75" TV for presentations, Starlink WiFi, 5-car parking, EV charging. Quiet hours begin at 10pm per local ordinance. Please keep music at reasonable levels throughout your stay and be considerate of neighbors. Additional event fees and house rules may apply.

Quality linens for all beds, oversized hot tub towels, bath towels, Puracy shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hair dryer. 1.5 bathrooms, washer/dryer with detergent, iron, sleeping masks, earplugs, and umbrellas provided for your convenience.

We stock the essentials so you can pack light. Kitchen: espresso machine with premium coffee pods, oil, salt, pepper, farm eggs, cookware, dishwasher pods, dish soap, paper towels, napkins. Bathroom: Puracy shampoo/conditioner/body wash, lotion, hand towels, bath towels, tissues, hair dryer. Cleaning: all-purpose spray, glass cleaner, Swiffer supplies, stainless steel spray. Bring your own: specialty groceries, wine, personal medications, Tesla adapter for EV charging (J1772 charger provided). We do not provide Keurig pods (we have an espresso machine), razor blades, or contact lens solution.
