Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 2026
1. OVERVIEW
This Privacy Policy describes how Nomad Inc. ("Nomad Inc," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our websites, make a reservation, contact us, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the "Services").
Our properties are located in Virginia, Vermont, New York, and Maine. Our company is incorporated in Delaware.
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
This Privacy Policy is intended to address requirements of applicable United States privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws where they apply to us.
2. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: name, email address, postal address, phone number, account login details (if you create an account).
- Booking and Stay Information: current and historical stay dates, number of guests, property booked, prices, packages or add-ons (for example, special occasion packages), reservation status, and communications related to your stay, including records imported from booking platforms and our anniversary guest database.
- Payment Information: limited payment card details such as last four digits, card type, and transaction IDs. Full card numbers and security codes are processed by our payment processors and are not stored in full on our servers.
- Device and Usage Information: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, booking funnel behavior, time spent on pages, and similar analytics data.
- Location Information: approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Marketing and Communication Information: your email and SMS preferences and durable records of send decisions, delivery, clicks, unsubscribes, campaign interactions, and benefit use.
- Survey and Feedback Information: optional answers about how you found us or what influenced your booking.
- User Content: reviews, photos, and messages you submit.
- Inferences: approximate interests or preferences we may derive from other information (for example, likely interest in certain upsell packages based on bookings or browsing).
We may also collect any information you choose to provide in free-form fields, emails, messages, or other communications with us.
3. HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION
We collect personal information:
- Directly from you when you fill out forms, make a booking, complete an optional survey, sign up for communications, or contact us.
- Automatically via cookies, pixels, and similar technologies when you browse the Site (see our Cookie Policy).
- From third parties, such as booking platforms, payment processors, email and SMS platforms, analytics providers, advertising networks, and social media platforms, where permitted by their terms and applicable law.
4. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
If you start a booking and leave before paying, we keep the details you typed and may send you one reminder that your dates are still open.
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and improve the Services, including processing bookings and payments, managing your stays, and providing customer support.
- To communicate with you, including sending booking confirmations, reminders, updates, and service messages.
- To personalize your experience, including recommending properties, dates, or packages that may interest you.
- For marketing and advertising, including sending booking-related emails and promotional offers to the contact information you provide, using email addresses to create matched or custom advertising audiences (for example, by uploading a customer list to Meta), and measuring campaign performance, where permitted by law and your preferences. Property marketing email may be sent from hello@send.yurtofun.com. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such email and contact us to opt out of direct marketing or matched-audience use.
- For analytics and business operations, including understanding how visitors use the Site, improving design and user experience, and developing new features and offerings.
- For security and fraud prevention, including detecting and preventing unauthorized activities or violations of our Terms.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and protect our rights, property, guests, and others.
Emails from us may contain an open-tracking image. Automated tools help us choose which past guests to invite back.
5. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may disclose personal information to:
- Service Providers and Contractors: companies that perform services on our behalf, such as payment processors, booking platforms, hosting providers, analytics and advertising partners, email and SMS platforms such as Resend and Twilio, and customer support tools.
- Business Partners: partners involved in the operation, financing, or insurance of our properties, where reasonably necessary.
- Authorities and Legal Recipients: law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other parties when we believe disclosure is required or appropriate to comply with law, respond to legal requests, or protect our rights, guests, or others.
- Successors and Acquirers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, asset sale, or similar transaction involving Nomad Inc.
We do not sell or share mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We disclose them only to service providers needed to deliver and operate the SMS program, or as required by law.
We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense (for example, we do not sell your email address to data brokers). However, some states define "sale" or "sharing" broadly to include some uses of analytics and advertising cookies. Where our use of cookies and similar technologies is considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, we will honor your right to opt out (see "Your Privacy Rights" and our Cookie Policy).
6. COOKIES AND ONLINE TRACKING
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, analyze traffic, remember your preferences, and support advertising and measurement (including paid ads and retargeting).
We use Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising tools. Our sites may load the Meta pixel, which sets first-party cookies and reports page views, and our booking system may use Meta's Conversions API to report completed bookings from our server. Depending on how you reached us, Meta may receive pages viewed, ad click identifiers, your IP address, your browser type, and the property and value of a completed booking. When you enter contact details in a form on our sites, the Meta pixel may also send some of those details to Meta in hashed form, meaning an email address, phone number, name, city, state, zip code or date of birth is converted into a one-way code in your browser before it is sent, so that Meta can match your visit to an existing Meta account for advertising measurement. The Do Not Sell or Share control and Global Privacy Control turn this off along with the rest of the Meta tools. Our server may also report earlier booking-funnel steps, such as starting checkout or signing up for deal alerts, with the property and the checkout value where applicable, without your name, email address, or phone number. Separately, we may upload email addresses to Meta as a customer list to create matched or custom advertising audiences, as described above. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load the Meta pixel for you and we do not report your booking or booking-funnel activity to Meta. You can also limit ad personalization in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
We also use Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (UET) to report base page views and measure advertising. Microsoft may receive pages viewed, ad click identifiers, IP address, browser details, and may set advertising cookies. We do not send Microsoft completed-booking events or payment details through UET. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal or you use the opt-out below, we do not load UET.
For more information, including how to manage your choices, please see our Cookie Policy.
7. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary and proportionate to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Some booking and stay history, survey responses, communication delivery records, campaign interactions, benefit-use records, and encrypted audit evidence may be retained indefinitely while they remain reasonably necessary for guest benefits, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, system reliability, or legal compliance. Other retention periods depend on the nature of the information, our relationship with you, and applicable tax, accounting, legal, and operational requirements.
When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we will delete or de-identify it in accordance with applicable law. You may request deletion as described below, subject to legal and operational exceptions.
8. SECURITY
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable laws.
10. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live and whether the relevant state privacy law applies to us, you may have some or all of the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Right to Know / Access: to request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, or "sold"/"shared," where applicable.
- Right to Deletion: to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correction: to request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt Out of "Sale" or "Sharing" and Targeted Advertising: to opt out of our use or disclosure of personal information for certain advertising or analytics purposes.
- Right to Data Portability: to request a copy of your personal information in a portable format where required by law.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: where applicable laws grant such rights (we do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as precise geolocation or financial account logins for marketing).
- Right to Appeal: to appeal our decision if we decline to act on your request, in states that provide this right.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights as permitted by law.
These rights are provided under laws including California's CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws in certain other US states.
11. HOW TO EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS
To submit a privacy request, you may:
Email us at: contact@yurtofun.com
Please include your name, contact information, the state where you live, and a description of your request. We will verify your identity using reasonable methods based on the type of request and sensitivity of the information. You may also authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf where applicable law permits.
12. "DO NOT SELL OR SHARE" AND GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL
If you want to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under applicable state law, use the control below. It sets an opt-out preference on this browser and device. While it is on, our sites do not load Meta or Microsoft advertising tools and our booking system does not report your booking or booking-funnel activity to Meta.
We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals automatically as a valid opt-out. When your browser sends a GPC signal, our sites do not load Meta or Microsoft advertising tools and our booking system does not report your booking or booking-funnel activity to Meta. If you clear cookies or use a different device or browser, you may need to opt out again.
13. INTERNATIONAL USERS
Our Services are intended primarily for use in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the US, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy with a new "Effective date" and may provide additional notice where required by law. Your continued use of the Services after the updated policy becomes effective indicates your acceptance.

Terms of Service
Effective date: November 2025
1. INTRODUCTION
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites operated by Nomad Inc., including any related booking pages, content, features, or services (collectively, the "Site" and "Services").
The Site is operated by Nomad Inc. (formerly Nomad LLC), a Delaware corporation ("Nomad Inc," "Company," "we," "us," or "our"). We operate short-term rental properties located in Virginia, Vermont, New York, and Maine.
By accessing or using the Site or making a booking through the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
You may be subject to additional terms or house rules in connection with specific properties or stays. In the event of a conflict, those specific terms or house rules will control for that stay.
2. ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Site or make a booking. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
3. BOOKINGS, PAYMENTS, AND CANCELLATIONS
(a) Bookings
When you make a reservation through the Site, you are offering to book a stay at one of our properties subject to these Terms, the listing details, and any applicable house rules. We may accept or reject any booking at our discretion, including if we suspect fraud, misuse, or error.
(b) Payments
You authorize us and our third-party payment processors (such as Stripe and other providers) to charge your selected payment method for the full booking amount, including nightly rates, taxes, fees, and any authorized add-ons or packages.
We do not store full payment card details on our own servers. Payment processing is handled by third-party PCI-compliant processors.
(c) Cancellation and Refund Policy
Our standard cancellation policy is:
- If you cancel more than 120 hours before the scheduled local check-in time:
We provide a full refund of the booking amount, minus the non-refundable credit card processing fee charged by the payment processor. - If you cancel 120 hours or less before the scheduled local check-in time:
We do not provide refunds for any reason, including weather-related cancellations, road conditions, travel delays, or personal circumstances. - Weather and road conditions:
Because our properties are located in mountain and rural areas, weather, road, and driving conditions can be unpredictable. By booking, you acknowledge this risk and agree that no refunds are provided for weather-related cancellations inside 120 hours of the scheduled local check-in time.
Any alternative or property-specific cancellation terms stated on the booking page or in your confirmation email will apply in addition to, or instead of, the above where clearly indicated. We may, but are not obligated to, offer credits or rescheduling options at our sole discretion.
(d) Security Deposits and Damage
For bookings made on this Site, the $500 damage deposit is a temporary authorization hold on the payment method used at booking, not a charge, and it is separate from the stay total you pay at checkout. The hold is placed before check-in (immediately for same-day bookings), appears as a pending amount, may be released and placed again before it expires, and is released after checkout if no damage or rule violation is found. Your bank controls how quickly a released hold disappears from your statement. We capture part or all of the hold only for documented property damage, excessive cleaning, smoking or vaping, unpaid pet fees or pet-related damage, missing or unreturned items, unauthorized occupancy (for example, more guests than booked or unapproved events), or other house-rule violations, and any amount above the hold remains payable under the Rental Agreement. Bookings made through third-party platforms follow that platform's damage policy instead.
By booking, you authorize us to charge or pre-authorize your payment method for such amounts as permitted by law and the applicable house rules. Documentation of damage or rule violations may include photos, videos, and cleaner/maintenance reports.
4. USE OF THE SITE
You agree that you will not:
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site (including through viruses, bots, scraping, or automated access except as permitted by us).
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any accounts, systems, or networks.
- use the Site to send spam, unsolicited messages, or fraudulent or misleading content.
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive source code or underlying ideas from the Site, except where permitted by applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, or cancel bookings, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or any applicable laws.
5. USER CONTENT AND REVIEWS
If you submit reviews, photos, feedback, or other content ("User Content"), you grant Nomad Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, display, and perform that User Content in connection with operating, marketing, and improving the Site, our properties, and our Services, subject to our Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that:
- you own or have the rights to share it.
- it does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.
We may monitor, edit, or remove User Content at our discretion, but we have no obligation to do so.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Site, including all text, images, designs, logos, software, and other content (excluding User Content and third-party trademarks), is owned by or licensed to Nomad Inc. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with evaluating or booking our properties. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site except as expressly allowed in these Terms.
7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Site may integrate with or link to third-party services (such as payment processors, booking engines, analytics, social media platforms, marketing tools, and advertising partners). We do not control, and are not responsible for, third-party services. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, not ours.
8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY PARTICULAR LEVEL OF AVAILABILITY OR THAT ANY BOOKING REQUEST WILL BE ACCEPTED.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL NOMAD INC. OR ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE, ANY DELAY OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, OR ANY STAY AT ANY PROPERTY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS, THE SITE, OR ANY STAY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE BOOKING GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100).
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
10. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nomad Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- (a) your use of the Site or Services.
- (b) your stay at any property.
- (c) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
- (d) your User Content.
11. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or any stay will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring claims in your home jurisdiction.
12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on the Site with a new "Effective date" and may provide additional notice where required by law. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. SMS TERMS
If you opt in, Nomad Inc. may send recurring automated promotional texts about requested-date waitlist availability and last-minute deals. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. For support, contact contact@yurtofun.com. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Our Privacy Policy above explains how we handle mobile information and SMS consent.
