These House Rules are part of the Rental Agreement for your stay. To ensure a pleasant and safe stay for all guests, please familiarize yourself with and adhere to the following terms:
1. Shoes
Please remove your shoes upon entering the yurt to help maintain cleanliness.
2. Age Requirement
Guests must be at least 21 years old to book a stay at Shenandoah Yurt.
3. Noise
Be respectful of other guests and neighbors by keeping music at a reasonable volume. Loud music is not permitted at any time.
4. Visitors
Daytime visitors are welcome but must leave the property by 10 pm. Please update your reservation if the number of guests changes after booking.
5. Pets
Pets are allowed with a $50 fee and pre-approval. Please provide information about your pet(s) before bringing them to the property.
6. Prohibited Items and Activities
Illegal substances, smoking, vaping, hookahs, cannabis, tobacco, and fireworks are strictly prohibited on the property.
7. Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am, as per local regulations. Violations may result in fines and immediate eviction without refund.
8. Cleanliness
Secure trash in the provided bins to avoid attracting wildlife. Do not leave any food or trash outside. Additional cleaning fees may apply for excessive messes.
9. Damages and Equipment
Guests are responsible for damages caused during their stay, including those caused by visitors, improper use of amenities, missing items, or unreturned activity equipment. Return games, sports gear, activity equipment, and other guest-use items to their posted storage locations after use.
10. Yurt Manual
Please read and follow all rules and instructions provided in the Yurt Manual, available upon check-in.
11. Grilling
Use designated grilling areas only and follow all fire safety rules. Never leave fires unattended and ensure they are fully extinguished after use.
12. Firearms and Drones
Firearms are not allowed on the property. Drone usage requires pre-approval—please message us with your experience and details.
13. Parking
Park only in designated areas. Parking on the grass is not permitted.
14. Wildlife
Do not feed or attempt to interact with wildlife on the property, as it can lead to aggressive behavior and disrupt natural ecosystems.
15. Check-out
Please ensure all doors and windows are locked when you check out.
16. Neighbors
Be considerate of neighbors and avoid disturbing them during your stay.
17. Personal Items
The property is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. Keep valuables secure. If any lost items are found, we can ship them to you at your expense.
18. Liability
Use of the yurt's amenities is at your own risk.
19. Refunds
Guests who cause refunds or discounts for future guests due to violations of house rules will be responsible for the host's loss of income.
20. Cancellations
Full refund if canceled 5+ days before check-in (minus 2.9% card fee). No refunds within 5 days or for weather-related cancellations.
21. Rental Agreement, Activity Waivers, and Posted Signs
The booking guest accepts this Rental Agreement for themselves and is responsible for everyone in their group, including guests, visitors, minors, pets, and invitees. The booking guest agrees to comply with the listing, booking terms, cancellation/refund policy, damage/fee authorization, house manual, posted signs, waiver terms, and host instructions. On-site amenities and equipment are provided only as stay-limited, non-transferable access for registered overnight guests and booking-guest invitees, not as public rentals or public access. When a waiver is posted or provided for hot tub, sauna, archery, pond, golf, or another activity, each participant must complete it before use. Activity equipment must be returned to its posted storage location after use. Violations may result in loss of access, additional charges, cancellation or eviction without refund, prize disqualification, and claims for damages or losses.
By booking a stay at Shenandoah Yurt, you agree to be bound by this Rental Agreement and these House Rules. Failure to comply may result in additional fees, immediate eviction without refund, and potential legal action. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
